Professional consultative services can assist anyone in the professional or public sectors with generalized questions about professional counseling. 

Reasons people seek professional consultation include but are not limited to:

      - improve practice skills/level of competence to treat

      - improve standard of care

      - acquire advanced skills

      - case conceptualization

      - earn professional certifications

      - ask generalized questions about mental health

Clinical evaluations to begin professional counseling services are not considered professional consultations.

Rates:

General EMDR Consultation:

Therapists who are already trained or certified in EMDR Therapy at times need consultation for difficult cases or to refresh EMDR skills.

Rates:

$140/hr.

EMDR Certification Consultation:

As a Consultant-In-Training, Whitney Smith can assist in the next steps after completing EMDR Therapy Basic Training.  Whitney can offer up to 15 hours of consultation.  This consultation will require a signed consultation agreement documenting the mutual commitment expected for this process. While the full requirements are explained at EMDRIA’s website, the basic requirements include:

Completion of EMDR Basic Training Program:

20 hours of consultation with an EMDRIA Approved Consultant

25 clients using EMDR

50 sessions of implementing EMDR in sessions

12 hours of CEUs in EMDR related topics

Fully licensed in your professional area

Minimum of 2 years of experience in your field of license
