ONLINE COUNSELING ONLY

I am a native of Mississippi graduating from the prestigious Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science. I spent my summers in the mountains of North Carolina during undergraduate and graduate school and eventually found my way back to North Carolina full-time.

I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from Regent University. I have been providing counseling services since 2012 and Neurofeedback services since 2014.I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I am one of only three clinicians in North Carolina's Piedmont Triad Region who is Board Certified in Neurofeedback from The Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) and a certified mentor for the BCIA board certification process helping train other practitioners to become board certified in neurofeedback. I am a Quantitative EEG Diplomate Licensed-Candidate (QEEG-DL-C) from the QEEG Certification Board. I am also certified in HeartMath . (My Neurofeedback practice and services are separate from Whitney Smith Christian Counseling.)

I work with a variety of clientele utilizing a person-centered approach, which means that our sessions will start with you and your needs. Together, we will explore the issues that you bring to counseling in a holistic way with emphasis on emotional, spiritual, and personal history perspectives. My experience in counseling has allowed me to work closely with many children, teenagers, and adults of different needs and backgrounds where I bring enthusiasm, compassion, and cross-cultural understanding to her work towards healing and wholeness.

My husband and I live in Winston-Salem, NC where we enjoy the outdoors, remodeling, sewing, traveling, and trying our best to keep up with two bulldogs and a pug.
